Study Overview

Clinical and non-clinical factors influence medical decision making. Increases in the complexity of treatment options, social media access, and the dynamics of patient support systems further complicate the decision making process. Recent studies have offered findings that warrant expanding research of dual process theory as it relates to decision making.

The objective of the proposed study is to contribute to the growing body of scientifically validated research that explores dual process theory and the impact on decision-making. In addition, to develop a deeper understanding of the evolving needs of patients diagnosed with cancer and their support system.
